Tous les matins du monde (1991)
And now, as someone once said, for something completely different! This is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. I especially recommend it if you love Baroque gamba music or Guillaume Depardieu.
Genre: Drama / Romance / Music (more)
Plot Summary: It's late 17th century. The viola da gamba player Monsieur de Sainte Colombe comes home to find that his wife died while he was away...
I love that movie!! When I was young, our small-town video store had about 6 foreign movies, or otherwise "arty" flicks...so I just watched them all. TLMDM was great.
The soundtrack CD is excellent, of course. If interested, you should buy the reissue, on which the sound quality is much better, and which has a bonus CD...all for about $17.

I'll check it out, I liked Gerard Depardieu in "Cyrano de Bergerac."
