After hearing the hurricane forecast for this season, I'm having visions of storm surges carrying tons of oil miles into the coast of Florida and depositing it in trees and houses. This catastrophe will be with us for my lifetime. Keith Olberman asked Michio Kaku tonight if the deep water drilling had been a bit like sending a man to the moon and not knowing how to get him back. Dr. Kaku had to agree.
But, I saw the most beautiful orange moonrise tonight. Huge and brilliantly orange, it hung low in the twilight sky like burnished gold.
My condolences to the people of coastal Louisiana.
